Capitalism and Consumerism

Many of the people who dislike consumerism tends to associate is with capitalism but that just isn't the case because consumerism is Keynesian. Keynesians always talk about how spending and spending will help better the economy and consumerism is about over spending so the two are related. Now Capitalism and Keynesian economics differ from each other like Keynesians think there must be some stimulus to boost the economy while Capitalist would oppose such handouts from the government.
